Fix Text Color & Link Build Issue Blogger Editor

For the past week or so, Blogger users have identified that with the recent Chrome built web browser engine updates, may have disrupted the Blogger color picker tool used at the Post editor.

Other than the color picker tool, the link creation builder, seems to be "buggy", does not work either, does not create link or create links with multiple texts assigned.

At the time of this writing, the issue happened on the latest web browser updates for Chrome, Edge, Brave & some version of Firefox etc.

Update: As of 13th June 2024, with the new Google Chrome updates, the issue has been fixed. Please update to the latest Google Chrome updates for best Blogger UI experience.

No issues found yet with the Blogger editor on mobile devices & iOS web browser versions like Safari as it does not use the Chromium based browser engine or the latest Chromium build.

The issue has been escalated to the appropriate Google product team & Google Product Experts are still waiting for any news, updates or response from them.

There is no immediate resolution to fix these issues, however a temporary workaround have been shared & proven to work for some, as per below technique.

Workaround Use Color Selector, Assign Background & Assign Link on Chrome built web Browsers Blogger Editor Issues

1. Highlight the texts you want to change color or background or create link.

2. While highlighted, hover your mouse at an input field, in this case the place to put the Title for post/pages, then left click.

3. Once the cursor blinks at the Title field, then click the text color selector tool to pick the colors or click the link tab to create a link.

4. Click "Apply" when completed.
