It has been reported that Queen Park Rangers (QPR) are set to announce details of their proposed new stadium.
Currently QPR, relegated to the Championship, are looking away from the 18,500 packed Loftus Road. QPR boss and owner, Tony Fernandes says QPR have ‘outgrown’ and are to move to a new £150m stadium and of course will be sponsored by AirAisa.
Wil QPR fly high? |
AirAsia is the official t-shirt sponsors for QPR which is owned by Mr. Fernandes.
Word around said that the billionaire is pumping up his own money to help boost QPR’s standings but has instead seen managers success on spending big for high-profile players, big fat lucrative salaries, and only to see them relegated to the English second league.
Fernandes, 48, will no doubt hope that when the new Stadium AirAsia is built, QPR is back in the top flight
A Rangers insider said that a formal announcement on the move is “very close.” - The Sun.
